THE ABSTRACT
The maximum concentration fields of pollutant matters in the atmosphere at the interface of primary aluminium smelters protective zones are calculated. It is shown that if respecting the norms of sanitary protective zone having a radius of 1000 m the capacity of the smelter, equipped with up-to-date prebaked anode pots designed for the high amperage, and with dry scrubbing system, should be less 250 thousand ton per year.
