THE ABSTRACT
On the basis of a certainly - element technique the deflected mode of a frame cathode shell (all-welded and compound) of aluminium cells, calculated for the current force from 105 up to 210 kA, is considered. The system of parameters reflecting strength characteristics of shell and allowing to carry out the comparative analysis, allowing both base models of metal construction and their modifications, is offered. The quantitative data, given in work, testify to efficiency of the offered technique.
