THE ABSTRACT.

In the given work the influence of geometrical parameters of cathode bars in a design of cathode blocks in the device of pot cell for aluminium electrolysis on size of a power failure in the cathode block was investigated. For realization of computation the program of a power failure in the cathode block allowing taking into account nonlinear of thermo physical property was developed began from temperature.

Taking into account the intense condition of cathode blocks and the importance of a power failure in cathode blocks, optimum is possible to consider the size of the bars with section 180x150 mm.
