THE ABSTRACT

The purpose of thermal balance calculation is the minimisation of electric power losses, optimisation of the electrolyte temperature value and of the heat irradiation constructive elements of electrolytic cells, as well as maintenance of a ledge protective layer on lateral walls of the cathode device shaft.

The settlement optimisation of thermal balances of electrolytic cells with prebaked anodes of various capacities is necessary to carry out at the expense of anode current density selection at a choice as a criterion of the working space form and value of electrolyte overheating.
