On a design stage, and also comparative analysis and optimization of aluminium cells cathode casing, the large importance has the quantitative characteristics or estimated parameters of cathode design stress-strain behaviour.
From the point of view of the mechanics of a deformable firm body the cathode casing represents as a thin-walled spatial plate system, for which analysis it is necessary to use technology of computer modeling on the basis of a method of final elements.
From the point of deformed analysis view the compound design of a cathode casing for aluminium cell is more preferable in comparison with all-welded design of the cell, though it requires the greater charge of metal.
