A SIDE LINING OF ALUMINIUM POT, consisting of two parts, made of materials, having a different resistance to the impact of the melt being in the pot shaft, from which its upper part consists of plates from non-metallic refractory compounds, having an increased resistance, and the lower part - of blocks, connected to each other and made of carbon bearing material, having a decreased resistance, wherein the plates from non-metallic refractory compounds are installed into the groove, arranged on upper faces of the blocks from carbon bearing material and fixed to the blocks from carbon bearing material with gluing or cementing compound or by sealing the said groove with carbon bearing material.

2. The lining according to claim 1, wherein the plates from non-metallic refractory compounds are installed in two rows with bond of the seams.

3. The lining according to claim 1, wherein the plates from non-metallic refractory compounds in the first and second rows are fixed to each other with gluing or cementing compound.

4. The lining according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the plates from non-metallic refractory compounds are fixed to each other with gluing or cementing compound
