A DEVICE FOR THE FIXATION OF SIDE BLOCKS IN THE ALUMINIUM POT, including pot shell walls, flanged sheets, fixed to them, and a protective layer between flanged sheets and top face of side blocks wherein the protective layer is made in form of cast metal and stiffly connected with flanged sheets and side blocks.

The device according to claim 1, wherein the protective layer is connected with side blocks through rod-type inclined elements, inserted into side blocks at the slope angle of 30-75° relatively to the top face of side blocks; the ratio of the length of rod-type elements to their diameter making up 2 - 4:1.

3. The device according to claim 1, wherein cast metal, stiffly connected with protective layer, is additionally put on flanged sheets

4. The device according to claims 1 and 3, wherein aluminium or its alloy are used as cast metal.
